Kansas City Flash Mob for Charity

Recently Glenn Beck called for all 9/12, tea party and conservative groups to flash mob for charitable giving at the program of their choice. We've risen to the challenge and are asking for your help! Glenn had originally asked for this to be on Thursday the 21st, but that didn't work out.

I realize gas prices continue to worsen and the economy is not much better, but Americans have always been able to dig deep and help out when ...someone is in need. We've become aware of some local Marine families that could use a bit of a hand. Let's see what we can do about that.

Don't feel like you have to bring a carload of groceries to participate. Even a few cans of veggies or a bottle of juice will help a lot.

When: Saturday, April 23 at 10:00
Someone will be in attendance until noon, so if you can't make it right at 10:00 don't let that stop you!

What to do: Bring non-perishible food and/or grocery or Wal-mart gift cards. Cards will be used to purchase diapers, formula and other baby items to the address above at 10:00AM on 4/23/11! No cash, please.

At the time of this writing there are 23 Marine families, totaling almost 70 members, in need. A few are couples, but most include 1-3 children and one is a family of 6.

The Flash Mob for Charity is a great way to show care and concern for Marine families in our community who are struggling AND also show the strength of our numbers. There aren't many major tea parties this year locally, so let's get together this way instead.
