Event Description
Our guest speaker for June will be Representative Peggy Mast (District 76). She will discuss the Kansas GOP Party Platform. This document serves as the guiding document expressing the beliefs and values that the Kansas Republican Party embraces. She serves as the Platform Committee Chairperson and was responsible for the recent 2010 GOP Party Platform just recently adopted. You will want to learn how this process works and how your input does make a difference.
Dale "The Geezer" Chaffee (Fair Tax KC) will provide an overview of the Fair Tax as it was worked through the Missouri State Legislature and the plans to introduce it into Kansas in the next legislative session. The implications of the Fair Tax will be felt by all Kansas Residents.
Our leavenworth County Representatives Connie O'Brien-42 District and Representative Owen Donohoe-39th District, Sandra Bohne-candidate for the 40th District, Jana Goodman-candidate for the 41st District will discuss their upcoming campaigns for the 2010 elections.
We will have an ice cream social starting at 6:30pm (prior to the meeting) to allow everyone an opportunity to meet with the speakers and get acquainted with all of our new members.
