Event Description
Voter Photographic Identification Bill
SOS Kobach's Secure and Fair Elections (SAFE) Act HB 2067 will be heard next week in the House Committee on Elections, Chairman Scott Schwab. Proponents hearing on the SAFE Act is Monday, January 31, 2011 and Opponents on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 both at 9:00 AM in Room 546S (subject to change), Capitol Building, Topeka.
We need many people to show up on Monday in favor of the bill. Hundreds would be best. If you would like to testify or know someone who should, please contact Deb Lucia.

We went and the testimony was excellent. Several Election officials spoke. Secretary Kobach did a great job of explaining the bill and the small room was standing room only and that is saying something considering the condition of the city streets. The hearing was cut short by (I think it was a page fainting) the room was cleared and we slid home and are staying off the streets till this storm is over.
