Political CHIPS - Conservative Heritage Institute for Principled Strength

Arizona Republican Governor, Jan Brewer, just signed new immigration law, making it a crime to be an illegal in Arizona.  She stated she's implored Obama to "do something!"  and has been continously ignored so did what she had to do to protect the people of the state as she was set into office to do. I am writing this discussion forum because she has acted BOLDLY and this is not her first time, and I thought good conservatives would like hearing about a good conservative.

I knew nothing about Jan Brewer, not even recognizing her name when the news broke about this bill.  Now I know some to share.

Democrat Janet Napolitano was elected Governor of Arizona; she resigned in January 2009 to become Obama's appointed Secretary of Homeland Security. When she did so, the Arizona Constitution dictates the Secretary of State becomes Governor---Republican Janice Brewer.  Who says every single political position isn't important--or perhaps critical--in history?

As Governor just these past 15 months, Brewer has signed laws for stronger gun rights--(conceal carry without a permit and guns okay in bars IF bar owners want it), repealed Napolitano's LGBT benefit costing Arizona $3 million a year, eliminated all or some of the SCHIPS bill, and is pursuing class action against ObamaCare for her state.  Now, folks, this IS a conservative.  I hope she doesn't disappoint me later (like McCain), but so far so good.  She is running in her own right for re-election THIS YEAR.  Got an extra $5 or $10--giving encouragement for her conservatism and stand up fearless attitude?  Never know where someone may end up---she could run for the Arizona House or Senate with the resume she's building--and then she'd influence every single one of us.  For now, just that she's "out there" with these pluses is a plus!   The STAND UP, SPEAK UP has begun.

When the immigration bill was signed, there was wild rioting---by the Left, of course. School kids took off from school (truant officer, anyone--or is that too old fashioned today?), illegals and their guilt-ridden friends ("Raise Our Taxes!") stormed the streets.  However, guess what the Arizona polling showed?  uh huh.   The Arizona PEOPLE are in agreement with their Governor.

Much of this stemmed from the fairly recent murder of an Arizona rancher on his own property...still ALLEGED I guess, by an illegal---who Rob Krentz may have even befriended with water at one time. The Krentz family had ranched in the location he was killed at since 1907. Enough is Enough.  Sadly, though, the headline around this bill signing, from Fox News no less, included the line "the TRAGIC DEATH"....no, not death...MURDER.

One of the top stories on Google (you do know they are in Obama's pocket, don't you?) on Jan Brewer was a post by ASTROCHICKS.  Oh, great. This is their headline:  "Has Arizona become the new hate capital of the United States?"  followed by, "Jan Brewer has waged war."   Aren't we all just getting terminally sick and tired of these people?

Some of Jan Brewer's statements from this week's interviews after signing this bill:  "It's an Invasion!" ---     "Not going to sit still."   ----  and  ---- "This is America, after all."

You can sign a petition that you agree with her at www.janbrewer.com

P.S.  This IS still America, after all....isn't it?

Want to also add another feather in Jan Brewer's conservative cap---her state is the one that just got ridiculed and "set the country back" per the media for introducing a bill (still needs to be passed) that all candidates running for President of the United States must meet the Constitutional dictate that he/she is a natural born citizen of the United States to show eligibility.

Mentioned above that pluses seem to multiply---once someone takes the initial risk. :)
The state of Georgia may now follow suit.

Get that pot boilin', Brewer! I'm for ya!
Keep adding to this...I may be the only one commenting on my own "discussion"....but so the nerd goes in Chipville. :)

Just read that a Rasmussen poll shows 70% of Arizona supports their Governor Brewer!

But, do the liberals EVER give up? Hell, no. Hispanic leaders in the House are urging (or threatening--more later) Obama to BLOCK the Arizona bill, saying that the Federal Government holds the power on immigration enforcement....Obama...Just stand up and say, "My Power Is Clear!".....well, that will be a good extension of his usual mantra, "Let me be clear"......and I'm sure saying Power is enticing to Dear Leader.

The Federal Government Holds THE POWER.....boy, that is really reverberating EVERYWHERE lately, isn't it? Watch for it. I'm watching for Jan Brewer's strength here; hope she can be like William Wallace from Braveheart....and "HOLD"....!

You should like this, though. Obama is more and more displeasing his LEFT.....not as much as we, of course, but who'd believe he isn't liberal enough for them? Ahem. As a sidebar, any aware of the Left's hecklers at Obama's speech to re-elect Barbara Boxer....he even said she MAY LOSE. No? And then Barbara tried to get the Left Audience excited "like the Tea Party People"! She had to use US for their motivation. Oh, it's gettin' good out there, my friends. But, sorry, I digress....back to Arizona from California:

So, Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D) from Illinois and Rep. Raul Grijalva (D) from Arizona are the two Hispanic leaders...and here is where what I call "the threat" comes in. The bill HR 4321 is for mass amnesty. Gutierrez especially is pushing Obama to get this amnesty and immigration issue off the ground....and if Obama doesn't manage it, Gutierrez basically says he'll "urge" Hispanics to stay home this November.

"We can stay home" he says, and "You know what? There is a third option. We can refuse to participate."

Well, tell you what. I read that going both ways. LET THEM STAY HOME. That's the whole idea, Luis. And, as far as refusing to participate...this is what is finally happening. The conservatives are refusing to participate! No more free politically correct, liberal, socialist easy-going-get-along APOYO. :)

It is my hope they take "not participating" far enough that they return to a south of the border address.
Yeah....guess I AM the only one adding to my own discussion..... :)

But, Chris Stigall's 710 radio show this morning had Kris Kobach as a guest talking about Arizona's new immigration law---KRIS WAS INSTRUMENTAL in the bill's original construction! Wow! Yea, Kris...right here in our own backyard...and who is our candidate for Kansas Secretary of State !

You may remember that when Kris ran for the KS 3rd District office that his campaign centered on our awareness of the problems of America's....and Kansas' lax immigration laws--or not enforcing the better ones. He was "ahead of his time" and it's coming to a head now.....

We had Kansas City, Missouri, picketing yesterday against Jan Brewer's new law. New civil unrest? I'd say it's just beginning. What side are we on....and will we fight?
Obama just came out today, further basically "dissing" state's rights with Arizona's bold move....only Federal Government has "The Power" !

I was waiting for him to say either "JAN BREWER ACTED STUPIDLY".....or "STATE GOVERNMENTS ACT STUPIDLY" .......

Mainstream news (CNN) is trying very hard to make the Arizona law a national issue. Our *cough* president says Jan Brewer is misguided and about 100 people protested the law in KCMO. I found an article from the Kansas City Star news: . I personally can find nothing wrong with the law; each state of the union is allowed to make laws. Even though federal law makes the power grab; it(federal government) has established the legality of the Arizona law. I read many of the comments about the protest and the law on the KC Star page. Many cannot decide if the law is racial profiling, usurping citizen's rights, police state, or just fine. Many are calling the law prejudice to brown skinned people. Why not just enforce the federal law that is on the books? That seems to be what Jan Brewer seems to want to do.
As an aside to this; I just read where Al Sharpton plans on marching in the streets of Arizona in protest of the law. How many more media whores are going to involve themselves in an area where their opinion has zero qualification? How does the president of the United States derive the authority to have the Justice Department review a state law? This all seems a travesty to me, I just cannot believe the idiocy that is being demonstrated.
Sorry Yvonne, don't want you to keep talking to yourself. I can see the MSM healdlines now......

All in one paragraph Obama admits the feds have not done their job on the border then calls the AZ law irresponsible. What? And our concept of fairness has to do w/ coming here legally and not being a nuisance by sucking up our our jobs, health care, obtaining drivers licenses, in -state tuition and filling our prisons.

Why is it that the mayor of Phoenix, world capital for kidnapping, is vehemently taking a stand against this law? I guess he doesn't mind all of the chaos that transpires in that city. I think brewer and the mayor need to have a serious talk.
My daugher in suburban Phoenix said people are in the streets there - protesting and rioting - it's becoming very unsafe to be traveling around the city. But it is also unsafe there due to the drug traffic, the kidnapping, the rising crime rate. What is lawful about ILLEGAL immigrants? Why the uproar about enforcing the law - protecting LEGAL Americans? If the fed. gov't had done it's job, this wouldn't be necessary. But since they didn't - and they won't - Gov. Brewer had no choice but to try to protect the AZ citizens! She is to be commended and supported!
Hey Yvonne
Always a pleasure to hear from you!!! I like you article. One word that comes to mind in regards to Gov Brewer is BOLD.
John, idiocy demonstrated? Where, oh where, can we begin with that one? Just for simplicity, we probably could start with November 4, 2008. Hello, America? Hello, best educated, smartest of the smart, business suits and professionals of every rank and file voting for Obama....oh, thank you so much for your intelligence and paying us back for making sure you got a "good education"......parents paying and everyone paying "for the children"...."for the schools"....uh huh.
Yvonne, 2008 is much to close to even begin with the idiocy list! Many decades of politics past is much too soon. Santa Clara county in California has put forth a rule to make it illegal to sell a kids meal with a toy in it at restaurants like McDonalds. The county supervisors will vote on it this coming Tuesday. The battle cry there is: "for the children". To steal Glenn Beck's words: "It makes my eyes shoot blood" when I hear about this stuff. We have gone from National politics, to State politics, and finally County politics for "nanny-ism". I have pointed toward Jan Brewer's website in another forum I read for Tobacco issues. I certainly hope this lady gets all the support she needs and then some.
