Political Chips - What Say YOU?

How many Pastors, Preachers, Priests, etc. will engage in a private conversation with you about the evilness of abortion but refuse to take a public stand on the issue on Sunday? Perhaps they don’t want to “offend” anyone in attendance that might have an opposing view such as an individual having stronger ties to the Democratic platform than their own moral compass? Or perhaps the rationale is that the legal structure of their organization is such that taking a certain position on a political issue might jeopardize their not-for-profit status?

We run into the same dilemma with nearly every professional trade organization we belong to or political organization we are involved in. Everyone’s tongue appears to be held hostage by the IRS and the message they are communicating to the masses is precluded with a statement such as, “we are bipartisan, we cannot take a political position on that issue, we cannot endorse any candidate although we can attack an issue, etc. etc. etc………”. Why? Is it really worth it to simply avoid paying taxes on any excess contribution received above and beyond expenses?

Well, at Political Chips, we say HELL NO! Bring it on. We want YOU to say what YOU want, when YOU want to, and how YOU want to say it. We will monitor the information to ascertain that discussions are civil, clean, and appropriate. We do have children engaged on this site so keep that in mind! Express YOUSELF! Cheers.
