The 9th annual "911Tribute Ride & Rally" was definitely the hi-light of the weekend as nearly 4000 motorcycles lined up to participate in this wonderful event organized by Gayle's Harley Davidson. This video had to be cut short due to time constraints but trust me when i tell you that you are only seeing about 50% of the motorcycles in this video! They definitely captured the spirit of 9/11 and i can't wait til next years 10th anniversary event.
Wow. This really was impressive and so well presented. Thanks so much to the talents putting it together and posting for the rest of us.

We were in Hutchinson and Wichita for this special weekend. Attended the Brownback-Holland Governorship Debate at the State Fair on Saturday morning. What an incredible difference in MEN and in PARTY. More and more I can not accept the statement that "both parties are the same...." The negativity and desperation of Democrat Tom Holland was to the point of being hurtful to hear. After the debate, it was neat to see Senators Sam Brownback and Pat Roberts together being interviewed by the drive-by media, with soon to be Senator Jerry Moran standing with them.

On our drive there, it was exhilarating to see a large group of Kansans lined up on an overpass bridge with flags and signs and a huge banner to honor our 9-11 Patriots Day, all waving to the passerby cars below.

You're right. We will NEVER FORGET.
Although it wasn't a part of the 9:11 tribute events, the Republican Superwalk yesterday was great! Many more volunteers than expected showed up to walk door-to-door in several precincts where there is competition for seats in the Kansas and the federal government. After a nice bbq lunch, several candidates spoke, and we went out as teams to cover the designated areas. It was supposed to last until 5 pm but because we had so many volunteers, we were done much earlier. It was so good to see so many involved in working to take the government back from the liberal progressives!
Nice. Awesome Video.
I enjoyed attending these events that brought remembrance to 9/11. May we never forget.
I spent the day at the Patriot's Run in Olathe. The organizer of the event was pleased that 450 had signed up to participate in the walk/run/jog marathon. The first year 60 were there. I suspect that next year will be huge! it was an amazing thing to see Marines, soldiers from Fort Leavenworth and soldiers-to-be from Wentworth Military Academy still going strong right up to 9:11 p.m. Greg Vaughn, who is planning a cross country walk for vets, walked the entire 9 hours and 11 minutes. By the way the USMC took the award for the most laps, 63! I think Ft. Leavenworth finished with 48.

Dan Gilyeat made some good contacts also. He spoke with anyone who came around and was able to offer hope to a woman who's husband is a Vietnam vet. He got beyond her anger and frustration with the system and she left smiling. Yeah, some shirts and buttons were sold, but the conversations that happened were just as important, if not more so.

A 70 yr. old man ran his last marathon that day. He started running marathons when he was 60.

Good weather from a good God, good food, good music, sunburned and wornout happy people honored those who died and those who served on 9/11/01.
