Tea Party versus The GOP - And the Winner is? Conservatism!!!!!!

The big winner from last nights’ election was “Conservatism”. The mainstream media and the Democratic Party are salivating over the opportunity to “exploit” or “perpetuate” a major rift between the “Tea Party” and the GOP “Establishment”. That should NOT be the storyline and knuckleheads like Karl Rove are diving headfirst into the trap.

For new readers, I will say this again. The “Tea Party” is not about any one person or any specific organization. It is an “Attitude” and a system of beliefs that supports Conservatism, Christian Principles, and the written platform of the Republican Party.

If you consider yourself a “Member” of the “Tea Party Movement”, I encourage you to look past the physical bellybutton of ANY politician regardless of whom they are! Rather, focus on the SEAT that their derrière / behind will be occupying after they are elected by “We the People”. Hold them accountable for their votes. Work like crazy to keep them in office when their actions and voting records support your conservative beliefs. Work like crazy to “replace” them when they don’t. It is quite simple actually.

The magic of the “Tea Party Movement” is that incumbent Democrats and Republicans have suddenly become more conservative in the past 2 years. Politicians running for office at all levels of government are spewing “conservatism” as a major component of their “revised” platforms. Most importantly, the “Tea Party Movement” has inspired millions of Americans to become reacquainted with the Constitution unlike they have been at any other time in their lives. This country may have been asleep at the wheel for the past 75 years during the progressive movement. However, with a Constitution in one hand and a bible in the other, it won’t take nearly as long to “correct” the damage in my humble opinion. What say you?

I AGREE! I've learned that just looking for an (R) after a candidates name is not enough. We have to stay informed as to how these politicians are voting. I'm looking for candidates that uphold the things I value ... I'm looking for their copy of the Constitution and the Bible. Just saying they are conservative is not enough, they have to VOTE it. If they don't vote the same way they campaign, I will do everything in my power to 'replace' them. I will never again NOT be aware of what is happening in the 'seats' of which I have a vote.
Well said, Alex. And Leah's comment gives me more hope for the future of my country. I was embarrassed to hear Carl Rove last night on Hannity's show. Embarrassed for him. I had thought Carl to be a brilliant man, having run two successful campaigns for President Bush. To see him act like an angry child instead of throwing his support behind O'Donnell made me sad. I agree with you that the magic of the "Tea Party Movement" is that we are making people who want the perks of office to realize that we are watching them, and we are wide awake.
We need to drop the importance of the D and R and highlight the differences of the P and C. Progressives verses the Conservatives. I don't care what other label they want to use. If you are for Big Government and want it to Give you your Rights and Take it from Others then you are Progressive. If you believe in rugged individualism, Limited Government, Freedom and our Rights are only given by God then you are Conservative! The parties are showing us that they are more alike than different and that is why we vote new people in and continue to get the same results. Well it is GAME OVER for that NONSENSE! Conservatives are here to TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK!
Alex- You have nailed it. The Constitution in one hand and the Bible in the other. What a picture that paints!
I could not believe my ears when I heard Rove on Hannity last night and I think Hannity could not believe it either. I am a HUGE Rove fan but that disappointed me beyond words. He is still denying O'Donnell today and that is hugely disappointing as well. O'Donnell is an imperfect candidate but certainly have much more hope in her than in Castle.
No funds from my pocket will go to the NRSC!
You're so right, Alex! It's time for the Republican Party to accept the Tea Party CONSERVATIVE values, rather than trying to get the Tea Party conservatives to join the OLD Republican party! We're finally awake - we see what's going on, we're watching the votes and we're silent no more! It angers me that the party - who should be supporting the will of the people - will not support the candidates the people have chosen to represent them! For years they've told us we must stick together, but now they don't want to do what the people are demanding and don't want to support the conservative winners. Heard someone say last night that pretty soon the Republican party will be the 3rd party - not the tea party! We are not going away!
Rock on!
I just witnessed Karl Rove being interviewed by John Scott of Fox News. Mr. Rove just spent 2 minutes personally attacking Christine O’Donnell on everything related to student loans to tax returns. When did Karl become a liberal? He has just shown his stripes on this issue. Party politics trumps principle and conservative platform. I am so disappointed in Karl Rove that I am taking down the picture of Karl and I at the Sprint Center and placing it in my desk drawer.
The republicans better step up and support her... i will be calling the RNC letting them know...

I will not support Blunt or any other repub if they turn their back on her.....I personally did not support blunt but he did win the primary so i am supporting him now...

Like you guys I want to stop the obamanation of our country and move the repub party back to the right...
That is more than disappointing. I have his autographed book in a special place and at least until he shows better sense, it's getting turned backwards! For someone so intelligent he sure is slow to understand what happened last night. I think I am as heartsick over his treatment of O'Donnell and he apparently is over Castle's loss.

Karl was on Hannity's TV show last night with the message he's repeating this morning. I was so surprised! And he's not the only big-name Republican saying this. Sean said it was one of the few times he disagreed with Rove but he did on this one! O'Donnell said the issues Rove is citing have been addressed more than once during the campaign, and have been explained. I'm not sure what the reason is that these establishment Republicans are being loyal to the old guard at the expense of conservatives, but I think it will come out and be rejected by the people. I HAVE heard that the report that the PARTY won't support O'Donnell with funds now that she won the primary is not true and I hope that is the case.

It's really WE THE PEOPLE against Washington DC Establishment! And, forgive me, but I am patting myself on the back because I had many "debates" about Karl Rove during the Moran-Tiahrt race--that Rove was only about Republican party politics and their "WDC Establishment Cologne and Cufflink Crowd" ---and demanding conformists.

I, too, have liked Rove (but chose Hannity's book instead of his when they were together at TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK Sprint-center event), but did not appreciate his dismissive and ugly attitude of one of our own at our very own Kansas Senate primary race--early indication of the angry child that Jerry Gibson just stated for the Delaware Senate race. Really not a whole lot of Rove difference between the two races if you analyze deep enough.

It wasn't that I didn't believe Rove that he had a "disagreement" with Moran and that he had his own side of the story---the trouble was what "his side" was. Moran stood up to both him and President Bush to vote the way he believed was what his constituents in Kansas' First District needed and would expect him to do.

Ah, yes, the truth has a way of eventually becoming known, doesn't it?

Rove stated that he talked with O'Donnell and "wasn't impressed" with her---wonder what the details are on that one. His pride has obviously been bruised again. But so have many others in our Republican "big tent." We Tea Party people said that we had to bring the Republican party to us. It's happening, Mohawks! Thank you, Christine, for one more push (or is it pulling?) in that direction.

Heard on the news that Delaware's turnout hit a record in 1984 with 31,000 turning out to vote at the primaries. Guess what it was this year! 57,000. The tea is overboard!
Christine O'Donnel will soon have the same marketing power as Scott Brown (and finances) thanks to the backlash. Karl Rove now has two strikes. He received the first strike when he supported Dede scouzafozza and now a second strike. How could such a brilliant man be so "blind" as to what is going on in this country? Im listening to Rush at the moment and he just reiterated the mood of the country. He said it is better to have a genuine Marxist in the Senate than a "phony" conservative operating as a Republican. I agree.
