I am sick and tired of the negativity, the whining, and the moaning from the campaigns that lost. The reason your guy or gal lost is the responsibility of your guy or gal.
The Tea Party Movement is about individuals standing up for Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. It is about defending the Constitution. It is about holding individuals responsible for their actions. It is about holding the feet of our elected officials to the fire!
The Tea Party Movement is NEITHER a political party nor an “institution” that should delegate its entire identity to any political candidate or politician (NRA for Harry Reid?)
We just witnessed a Senatorial race in Kansas between two relatively Conservative candidates who had multiple chinks in their armor (SCHIP expansion, Bailouts, Cash for Clunkers, No Child Left Behind, etc.). Neither of these two candidates were “worthy” of bearing the “Tea Party” seal. Wouldn’t you agree?
Benjamin Franklin advised that the founding fathers had given us a Republic so long as we could keep it. This mission statement is infinite! The Tea Party is fighting to keep the Republic that was given to us by our founding fathers.

I thought it was a great ! Even though I am on the Missouri side we sent Obama an every progressive a stern message that should make him an them have a movement. We are just getting started we know what we have to do. an do for many years to come.Stay the corse ! Educate !Shine the lite.get in there face .Question with Boldness.Quiters never Win .

I agree the Tea Party did not fail. As Darla stated though, it is hard to compete with $800,000. The candidates (for the most part) did not fail. The citizens failed! They failed to research, failed to financially support, and most of all the majority failed to vote.

Just a gut feel, but I personally believe it is going to worse for us freedom fighters before it gets better...I feel that freedom and the constituation is going to be challenged, even more, in ways we can't even image in the near future..Obama, and the left, have lost their minds in my opinion...capitalism and freedom have become a joke to many folks on the left, and they have made great strides in moving this country towards socialism.
I was at the brookside art show and i saw a young guy wearing a shirt that had "SOCIALIST" across his chest...it made me sick to my stomach...i then saw a WWII vetern in a wheel chair with his WWII hat on and wanted to introduce the "socialist" to the freedom fighter that fought for the right for this clown to wear such a shirt...
Let's stay focused, engaged and true to freedom and the constitution... that is the only hope we have....

Agree, my candidate won...and we are going to "pound" the pavement to get the win in NOV...if you are not in district 5 we need your support...please, please go on line and make a contribution to the campaign...i have been volunteering for Mr. Turk and I am very confident he will represent us with honor and great pride!

It was not really people staying home that is our problem. i work with public every night..They voted for Moran on name recognition and nothing else..They are like 80% of voters who don't investigate candidates. They just vote party line out of duty every 2 yrs ..Look how Green got elected in SC by 60% of ...He had a "D" behind his name...SAD..I risk getting fired every night by engaging customers in the conversation, We All need to make a choice..get out of comfort zones..It gets easier..

I say this:
As a former history teacher, the Constitution is not a living document to be changed as society evloves progresses or degrades. And it is not to be interpreted to fit the agenda of malcontents, liberals and America haters. Many of my colleagues in education taught history to fit their agenda. (ie the Founding Fathers are portrayed as white slave owners who were racists, and that the document was devoid of divine inspiration)
My point is, as I respond to your entry is this: The Consitution is the ROCK upon which our citizens and Republic stands.
The left, the progressives, the statists, the liberals have been successfully rewriting history to minimize our countries greatness. Obama is the point-man for the left who are trying to rewrite our history. That is why we as Constitutionalists and Conservatives need to speak up about the true intent of our founding fathers.
The Progressive movement of the early 20th century under Wilson and then FDR was just the beginning in the long slow process of tearing down our country. They methodically infiltrated Education, Politics, Journalism, the court system, and entertainment. The TEA party is correctly positioned as the hope of our country to turn this around. Our forefathers gave us a gift. In their wisdom, this articulate and eloguent document is a gift to the Country and has been the light of the Free world. yes "the Tea Party is a Lifestyle"

I've seen the Tea Party evolve from the first small protests concerning the "porkulus" package to include adherence to the Constitution, liberty issues, and the reek of buy outs emanating from Washington DC. Because we are evolving, and our vision is growing, we are not going anywhere.

I agree with Alex. What I learned from attending many tea party rallies, tax day parties, listening to the candidates as well as some good debates is that you must research the candidate you are backing fully and not just focus on who endorses who. Think about who and why those candidates were endorsed by that person and then do more research. It does'nt stop with just an endorsement. Research that person/group as well.
If you are running for a race as big as 3rd Congressional district and U.S. Senate you need lost of support, confident well researched volunteers that will back your philosophy throughout the entire state of KS to win. As well as the area you would be representing. True, money does help but as we saw with this and other campaigns voters get turned off by negative campaigns. Maybe it used to work, but people are tired of it. They want to know what YOU personally are going to do and what you have done that proves you are worthy of their vote. It does'nt pay to waste dollar after dollar beating down the other candidate. Volunteers with knowledge of you as a candidate & walking door to door is much better use of your time. In my opinion. Congraulations for those who won I feel that is what they did with their time. They had a bigger army backing them because they had a lot of well informed people volunteering for them.
Would I like to see John Rysavy, Dan G. and some of the others find a place in KS representing us in another conservative area? Sure I would, because I think we could all benefit from them. I think they would do an excellent job.
I am accepting Yoder as our candidate to beat Stephanie Moore. Do I believe in all of his social principals? Not so much, but I will do my best to keep on top of him as much as possible. As well as see to it that he really does vote fiscally conservative moving forward and not caving to special interest groups.
I am pleased with the Moran choice. Like I said, I researched the candidates and both men are very good conservative Christian men. I feel Moran is here to stay in KS and can get the job done and Tiahrt can move on to bigger and better things for the GOP for 2012. I can see Tiahrt in our GOP political future for sure. I am sure he won't let us down.
We must buckle down and be prepared for November and move on past this let down moment of not having "the perfect candidate" that we feel did or did'nt win in the GOP primary. Losing hurts but let's focus on the positives and hold the candidates to the strong conservative agenda that we expect for our state and in Washington D.C. Hold those candidates accountable~ ok I went on way to long here but I had to voice my opinion.
