I am sick and tired of the negativity, the whining, and the moaning from the campaigns that lost. The reason your guy or gal lost is the responsibility of your guy or gal.

The Tea Party Movement is about individuals standing up for Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. It is about defending the Constitution. It is about holding individuals responsible for their actions. It is about holding the feet of our elected officials to the fire!

The Tea Party Movement is NEITHER a political party nor an “institution” that should delegate its entire identity to any political candidate or politician (NRA for Harry Reid?)

We just witnessed a Senatorial race in Kansas between two relatively Conservative candidates who had multiple chinks in their armor (SCHIP expansion, Bailouts, Cash for Clunkers, No Child Left Behind, etc.). Neither of these two candidates were “worthy” of bearing the “Tea Party” seal. Wouldn’t you agree?

Benjamin Franklin advised that the founding fathers had given us a Republic so long as we could keep it. This mission statement is infinite! The Tea Party is fighting to keep the Republic that was given to us by our founding fathers.

WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE IF CHIPS WOULD HAVE POLLED THEIR MEMBERS AND GOT BEHIND ONE CANDIDATE! INACTION BY THE BYSTANDERS LET YODER WIN.

Jim, I understand your thinking and wish also that we could have been united, but that's not what Political Chips does! Most of the candidate were/are Chippers - to select one as an organization would not have been fair to anyone. PC makes it very clear that they provide an opportunity for us as individuals to discuss and promote, but they will not endorse. I think that's as it should be.

This is a touchy subject indeed. I agree with Sally and Alex on the goal of the website. I would love to see united electorate with uniform voting patterns. Yet, that would ultimately end up as a political action committee. Alex gave us the place to discuss and decided on our own; it is the job of every citizen to educate their neighbor to allow the best choices made. I see Yoder in Kansas to be just like Carnahan/Blunt in Missouri. It is the two party political system that put these folks where they are today. Unity and support belongs to the public where the endorsement of political candidates is best applied. A website for public education on all candidates without endorsement keeps the public better advised.
