I said to my Mom the other night, 'Can you imagine what those roiling frantic vicious crowds of Muslims in Cairo and Libya and 20 other Muslim 'countries', SMELL LIKE?'. I said I felt badly for the women in those countries.

Mom, who's sharp as a tack, said, 'Kathy, don't worry about them! You think the women smell any better? I mean when you live in caves and bathe at least once a year w/o fail, well...'.

Now if anyone here wants to criticize me for writing such as the above? Save it. These are the people who brag about 'bypassing the Enlightenment AND the Renaissance'. OK?

And here's what he said about Muslims in Audacity of Hope:

“I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”

No wonder he has no use for Israel or Bibi Netanyahu.

How sweet of you to identify yourself with my lack of faith Kim.

See: Trad. Catholicism works SO WONDERFULLY FOR ME because we've got tons of things we're COMMANDED to do! And since 'of all sinners I am chief' (the Orthodox Liturgy prays that) that's perfect for one like me. Because trust me: Left to my own [uneasy] devices the day would never dawn when I'd say prayer-one for the Obamanation.

One of our holy priests says he's asked A LOT in Confession, if we're allowed to pray for his death; pray for his condemnation, etc., etc. Answer: We can pray that he, and all, will receive justice, a judgment. Still: You're thinking the whole time about that INCONVENIENT commandment, '...forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.'

Sucks to be us at times. Big time.

I'm glad you're conscientious enough to pray for our enemies. I can't quite go that far, I just rather ignore them. I must admit, that should our pastor pray for our leaders and our president, I do grit my teeth some. . .
