Yesterday, I was doing a presentation to help some young ladies members of a youth group of the Daughters of the American Revolution to understand President Thomas Jefferson’s position on public education and statutes of religious freedom (He reviewed and wrote this at the age of 33 for the State of Virginia). In my humble understanding of our past leadership, I do believe that Jefferson is one the greatest, smarter and talented Americans.

Yvonne Starks said… Angelo...I do not take things personally...am way beyond that in age and experience. :) If I were ever to be offended enough to give up any defense I have of an issue or an individual, it would have been when almost the entire Political Chips active membership was for Tiahrt and I was defending the very-defensible Moran in 2010 Senate race! That took up much of my research so I missed the opportunity to do the same for Kevin Yoder, who was also taking a beating here on Chips at the same time. I stayed with John Rysavy, whom I still greatly admire. Interestingly, he and I BOTH did further research and got to know Yoder after his primary election. For the second time, then, believe the heavy criticisms hurled at both him and Moran were unwarranted....which is what I see going on right now on the Yoder blog we're discussing....including undeserved-going way off the specific-issue....reminiscent of the media going after Romney in petty ways. Hope to see and learn from you this evening at the George Washington Tree. :)
