About Me

I'm a conservative Republican running for Congress in the 3rd District of Kansas. I served three terms in the Kansas House from 1999-2004, representing the 29th District - during which time I served as Majority Whip and was appointed as the House Insurance Committee Chairman.

Prior to my time in the Kansas House, I served as an enforcement attorney with the FAA and as a litigation atttorney with the Resolution Trust Corporation where I oversaw hundreds of property cases involving a half of dozen institutions assigned to me.

For the last five years, I served as VP of Governmental Relations with HSBC.

I graduated from Notre Dame de Sion High School and the University of Kansas. I am married to David and have two daugthers -- we live in Olathe.

Appreciated the (Italian!) enthusiasm a lot and it was good to talk with you both. Read some of the comments on the Third District Group site and admit to being a little surprised as I was looking for you to become more animated and show what I call "fire" and strength and thought that you did. Think maybe this is the curse of its being more difficult to do as a woman ?? I also don't mind negative statements within context and truth (Yoder's pro choice-life comment) because as one other said, we may not know if it's not brought out. Obama anyone? Anyway, look forward to more of these same great forum presentations to fully settle in.... :)
