We're on to the General Election April 3 in Shawnee!

Thanks for your support in the primary yesterday!  We made it through to the April 3 general election!

I received 1302 votes (38.35%), only 403 votes behind the 8-year incumbent, Jeff Meyers, with 1705 (50.22%) of the votes.  John Segale, with 388 votes, was eliminated in the primary.

We couldn't have made it this far without the support of good people like the ones I meet here. Please keep spreading the word about the return of fiscal responsibility…

Do 20 and Free Healthcare for Life was a lie too!

THE PROMISE: While on active duty in the United States Armed Forces, personnel in positions of authority acting as agents of the United States Government promised me and millions of people like me that if we served for 20 years in the military and retired we would receive free medical care for ourselves and eligible dependents for as long as we lived. This medical care promise was made openly, officially, and continuously to encourage the trained and experienced military personnel to remain…

Obama E. Newman: What, Him Worry?

By this time we've become used to our idiot, grinning-from-ear-to-ear, Alfred E. Newman-like president,  glad-handing everyone he sees, promising to "not rest" until jobs are plentiful while simultaneously taking credit for the Bush-era oil drilling rigs and blaming Bush for the escalating cost of gasoline, or healthcare, or housing or whatever else Obama has made worse in the last 3 years.

But ole smiley will be sure to have elaborate, expensive parties in the…

HEALTH CARE FREEDOM AMENDMENT

HCR 5007, the Health Care Freedom Amendment will be debated by the Kansas Senate on Thursday, February 23, in the 2:30 session.

There will be likely a morning and an afternoon session, as a result. There is a large list of items to debate on the calendar, and the Health Care Freedom Amendment will likely be at or near the end of the list, so it is very hard to pinpoint when the debate will occur exactly.…

February 22nd Repubican Party Debate, Just a Couple of Observations.

To discuss the issues of the day is not the same thing as debating those issues.  Debate doesn’t take much “education”, but it takes “information”.  The two terms may be used interchangeably and both may be, depending on whom the giver of the education or the information is, the fulfillment of truthful statements.  The conclusions that are drawn, however, may not be truthful.  The cause of coming to the wrong conclusions, even if a person has read and has comprehended the…

Random Act of, "Not in the Tank for Obama"

Did the Washington Post commit a random act of, “Not in the tank for Obama”?  Scott Clement wrote, “Obama’s rising gas prices problem”.  The first response to this might be, “No expletive Sherlock”, but it does have a profound meaning.  Gasoline is used by the vast majority of people that drive to work, and those that drive to look for a job.  Besides the indirect influences on the prices of other goods, it is…

The Double Standards Of Liberal "Faith"

Why is it that when conservatives/Republicans speak of matters of faith and religion they are criticized by the press and liberal politicians, and are described as imposing their religion on the nation, but when Bill Clinton (remember his "healing" prayer sessions with Jesse Jackson after the Lewinski affair became known?) or Barack Obama (he speaks of his "Christian Faith" while trying to force the Catholic Church to abandon it's long-standing beliefs and…

The office of the President was…

Please contact your state Rep to SUPPORT HB 2598. The House Federal and State Affairs committee will be deliberating this Monday, February 20,

HB 2598, the Pro-Life Protections Act, restricts state funds from benefitting abortion, in order to promote childbirth, as court rulings have repeatedly upheld is the state’s right. HB 2577/E-Verify ACTION NEEDED

Before our Kansas Legislature, is HB 2577,  which will require businesses and government entities to use the E-Verify system to verify someone applying for employment in Kansas is in our state legally.

Did you know that Kansas is surrounded by states who have addressed this issue? Kansas is, for all intents and purposes, a Sanctuary State. Kansas is a magnet for illegals.

PLEASE contact your state Representative and Senator and ask them to vote YES on this…
