Comment by Leah Herron on March 11, 2012 at 11:08am Our Caucus location called the meeting to order at 10 am! After the candidate speeches were heard, votes were accepted. According the to way I read the state rules for Caucus, (you may read them through the link at the bottom of this blog), voting begins after these speeches are concluded.
Comment by Leslie Schmidt on March 11, 2012 at 8:54am At our polling place, Ozark, we were told the state rules dictated all speakers had to speak first before you could vote. We were also told 10:20 would be the earliest a vote could be dropped in the box. Our site seemed to run incredibly smoothly, each surrogate spoke for their allotted 5 minutes, and voting began. Though I still believe a primary would allow more people the opportunity to vote, I thought yesterday went extremely well.
