I have been away to long I'm afraid, but as I write this small blog I think about the perilous times that we are living in. Obama is without a question the most radical most Un-American president in the history of our country. While millions of Americans are being affected by the economic downturn, the president of the United States enjoys very lavishing vacations. Keep in mind this is the president who once stated that he "sometimes forgets how bad the economy is" for the President of the United States to say this is very COLD. Most of us know of the danger this president presents to our country: big government, hefty regulations on businesses, higher taxes, and Obamacare. With all that in mind, I would expect the President of the United States to show more empathy towards the American people. I mean c'mon this is the president who was going to bring change right? Do you remember? he has blatantly blamed Bush time after time for the economic situation we are. But what has Obama done to solve the problem? absolutely nothing.
I truly believe this upcoming presidential election is of paramount importance. The numbers dont lie, when it comes to what Obama has done the last three years in office: unemployment is at 8.2% (sometimes even higher in other states), banks are not lending, gas prices keep going up, more and more people are on food stamps, the list goes on. Obama needs to put up and shut up. He needs to stop blaming his predecessor for everything that's wrong with America today. Oh and another thing, the United States lost it's AAA credit rating for the first time ever!! Its time people wake up and smell the coffee. While we have this man in office things will never get better, they will only get worse and worse. God truly bless us all.

Thank you Brother Angelo always good to hear from you :)
Comment by Angelo H Mino on June 24, 2012 at 4:26pm Welcome back brother David.........Nice exchange of words.....
You hit it right on the nail kathy. I dont like to be viewed as being in favor of illegal immigration, I have been chastised for stating my position on illegal immigration by the "others" the others being hispanics who are democrats and think we should have an open border policy...HECK NO we shouldn't!!!! how stupid do you think we are? A soverign nation has laws that have to be respected by citizens and foreigners alike..Lord have mercy.
Comment by Kathy Brown, Esq. on June 23, 2012 at 11:52pm David, back atcha. Great comments!
As you understand: It's geographical coincidence that it's Hispanics abutting us to the South. I'd feel the same way, tho', if it were Sweden. And you know? I don't believe the Left when they constantly shout 'racist'. I think they know they're lying but hey, it's like a young one who finds out that, if they throw a tantrum in public, Mom will do whatever they want...
Another thing which is never mentioned is the real conservatism of the LEGAL Hispanics here, citizens like yourself. I know many of them and they tend to be quite to the right. Also I don't know of any group of people angrier than they are, over the illegals invading here. Needless to say they're not thrilled to be lumped into the 'illegal alien' category. It ticks them off, and it'd do the same to me.
I can respect your opinion Kathy your concerned about your country like anyone would be about the future of theirs. I'm a proud American who was blessed to have been born here in America, but at the same time I'm proud of my spanish roots and my background. My parents taught me to be American first and to also acknowledge my roots and never be ashamed to speak spanish. In my case I'm blessed to have been bilingual and hope to use it to the best of my ability in benefit of both the english and spanish speaking communities in this great country. With that being said I'm the first one to tell hispanics to learn English and never give up. I know it must be very hard to learn a new language but you have no choice once you move to a new country. I agree Kathy it is in the best interest of our country if we close the borders and not let people come in illegal because bottom line: your breaking the law and that makes you a felon and not an honorable person. Great comments!!!
Comment by Kathy Brown, Esq. on June 23, 2012 at 9:54pm We can all agree with that David.
What's really sad is, I used to love the sights and sounds of the Hispanic culture. I'd see them growing up in NYC of course, then when we were all young/single we'd go to the Salsa clubs, dance, drink Margarita's, etc...
But once you are in the midst of an invasion, as we presently are, that all stops. When your country's language is supplanted, and you're forced to 'Press 1 for English', well, you're no longer in a state of mind to enjoy that culture.
Alas! I can see this thing really getting ugly if the election of a Republican president doesn't do something drastic. As you point out, David, securing the border is the essential first step. But we-the-people aren't going to tolerate, ultimately, the bankrupting of our country at the hands of the illegal hordes.
Kathy the members of congress have been very incompetent in dealing with illegal immigration or else we wouldn't be in this situation. To be more specific in this case I'm referring to
They have all behaved this way, or else we would have enforced our immigration laws and not have thousands and thousands of people crossing the US/Mexican border each year.Im tired of hearing the rhetoric from both sides of the political spectrum, alot of Americans are suffering because of this ongoing problem and it has to STOP. Believe me if I had the ability to stop this mayhem I would of done it a long time ago.
Comment by Kathy Brown, Esq. on June 22, 2012 at 9:58pm David, we're all on the same side here-we're Conservatives who love our country. Greg's asked VERY important questions and you've illustrated the long-standing ineffectiveness of both sides of the aisle. To me, incompetence is when you're simply not qualified to do what you're called upon to do. Congress and the Senate are, as you say, GUILTY of not 'standing up' on this issue. There was political capital to be made by ignoring it-and by the way, as much as I'll work hard for Romney, he'll have to have us all ride herd on him too! Because he's far from a Gov. Brewer!
But getting rid of 'the Worst President ever' is indeed the most important step. God willing-and all of us and millions across America working our tails off!-we'll soon see the back of the Obamanation and his unutterably corrupt, sick 'presidency'.
I agree with much of what you said Kathy but I still do think it's been incompetence in the part of congress. The definition of incompetence is- inability to function properly. Our congress has been unable to function proper and get anything done, our federal government is a big failure. When a state like Arizona with SB1070 and other states stand up to the federal government and implement their own immigration laws it really is incompetence by the federal government in not enforcing our immigration laws. We need people in congress who will stand up to the big headed monster that is Obama and his cronies and do something about this enormous problem we have had for many decades now. I applaud President Ike Eisenhower when back in the 1950's with operation wetback he deported illegals back to Mexico, again I agree with your point of view that we need to be tough on illegal immigration. I know its a very hard topic to discuss because it truly is unfortunate to said easier said then done. Greg my friend you have asked some great great questions Sir, I would do some more research and get back to you on that one :)
David, how much is a hefty fine and which governmental agency will collect it? Is the fine per person, by age, how long they've been here, a mixture of these or similar criteria? After that how will the money be disbursed? Will they reimburse states for the money spent by providing education and medical care for illegal aliens? Will they reimburse hospitals for millions lost by treating them for free? What about city, county and state lock-ups? Or will the most likely happen and the federal government will just line their pockets with money from those who dare to step up and take the challenge?
