My Brothers and Sisters
I have been away to long I'm afraid, but as I write this small blog I think about the perilous times that we are living in. Obama is without a question the most radical most Un-American president in the history of our country. While millions of Americans are being affected by the economic downturn, the president of the United States enjoys very lavishing vacations. Keep in mind this is the president who once stated that he "sometimes forgets how bad the economy is" for the President of the United States to say this is very COLD. Most of us know of the danger this president presents to our country: big government, hefty regulations on businesses, higher taxes, and Obamacare. With all that in mind, I would expect the President of the United States to show more empathy towards the American people. I mean c'mon this is the president who was going to bring change right? Do you remember? he has blatantly blamed Bush time after time for the economic situation we are. But what has Obama done to solve the problem? absolutely nothing.
I truly believe this upcoming presidential election is of paramount importance. The numbers dont lie, when it comes to what Obama has done the last three years in office: unemployment is at 8.2% (sometimes even higher in other states), banks are not lending, gas prices keep going up, more and more people are on food stamps, the list goes on. Obama needs to put up and shut up. He needs to stop blaming his predecessor for everything that's wrong with America today. Oh and another thing, the United States lost it's AAA credit rating for the first time ever!! Its time people wake up and smell the coffee. While we have this man in office things will never get better, they will only get worse and worse. God truly bless us all.

Comment by Kathy Brown, Esq. on June 22, 2012 at 1:05am David, you're right. Both parties have been useless. But I don't believe it's incompetence and I know you don't either-the right wants their cheap [illegal alien] labor, and the left wants their voter fraud (now) and their indentured welfare class voters, in perpetuity...
What I propose we do is stand very strong against illegals. We need to stand in very clear CONTRAST to the Left's insane garbage. Illegal is illegal. We need to take a hard line and not budge-and we DON'T need to be constantly playing the Left's game, i.e., endlessly assuring everyone we're not 'racists', blah blah blah. That simply plays into their hands, they get to 'rope-a-dope', as it were. That makes us look defensive, too. And we're not-or we shouldn't be.
Specifically: We shouldn't be for in-state tuition, or benefits to illegals, or any kind of employment for them. We're a nation of laws. We also need to never sound apologetic, the way so many conservatives do. We need to recite, quite clearly and reasonably, that every single sovereign nation in this world maintains secure and discrete borders, that no nation has 'open borders', and that all nations inflict criminal penalties on those who crash their borders. We need to state that the only country in the entire world called upon to 'welcome' lawbreakers, is the USA. And we need to state that we've had enough.
And when we do those things, we'll be getting back our language, borders and culture-or starting to. Of course in doing those things, we are presuming one very important thing which is, that the vast majority of our citizens agree with the aforementioned. Now if it turns out they don't, well, then the USA is already lost.
But I don't think that's true. So that's what I propose.
Kathy what do you propose we do? The framework is there, but the incompetence of both parties has been demonstrated time after time in regards to this issue. I truly believe that congress has looked the other way when dealing with the issue of illegal immigration. There truly are special interest at hand so were in a big messy sticky situation and Obama will make it worse.
Comment by Kathy Brown, Esq. on June 20, 2012 at 7:43pm I hear Conservatives all the time making the points you made below David. We ALWAYS push the measures you cite, and I've not heard hardly anyone in the Conservative movement speak of 'deporting' 20 million illegals. To the contrary: I hear us speaking of turning off the hiring magnet, then the illegals will self deport...
Now if either party WOULD 'seal the border', I'm betting you'd see a great deal more willingness to create a legal path to citizenship. However, it wouldn't be for all 20 million-it's a lot more than 12 million, that's for sure! Obama's fiat for '800,000' illegals getting work permits (while we're in the middle of record recession/depression) really addresses more like 2-3 mil. Not counting, of course, the tons hotfooting it across the border since Obama dictated his latest!
The GOP needs to talk more about pro immigration!!! It seems like all you here from the GOP party is in reference to illegal immigration. But what about those Latinos who did things right? they never get any credit, in other words lets remind everyone that we are the pro immigrant party not the DEMS. We need to stop bickering amongs ourselves in regards to illegal aliens we all know we can't deport all 12 millions illegal. Lets seal the whole border bring in some reinforcemen, make employers use E verify, and punish businesses who hire illegal aliens, and lets start a legal residency path for the illegal aliens we have now..make them pay hefty fines and send some back to start with a clean plate.
Comment by Yvonne Starks on June 20, 2012 at 1:39pm Thank you, David....and what perfect timing for you to return to one of your first conservative political sites, Political Chips....with Obama trying is best to entice you to vote for him "because it's the right thing to do....."
God truly bless us all....bless us with intelligence and common sense over and beyond the emotional states we've been able to develop to an extreme...all because of being able to live large in the most free and wonderful country the world has ever known.....
Comment by Kathy Brown, Esq. on June 20, 2012 at 12:27am The answer is, Romney-or any Conservative/[non-RINO] Republican, cannot get illegal-alien-loving 'Latino' votes.
We will cease to be the USA when/if the majority is pro-illegal. Now I know lots of 'Latinos' (who don't identify as such, they're citizens, and they're AMERICANS, thank you very much!) and they're quite conservative and as anti-illegal as any normal citizen is...
Now I saw 'Spartacus' again tonight (for probably the 50th time) and that lesson is there too. Rome fell because it became outnumbered by those who had no loyalty whatever to Rome, to being ROMAN. In like manner, if we continue to allow everybody and their brother in here, with no inquiry as to the motivation to be American, well, then we'll fall too. There's nothing inevitable about the USA continuing to be the USA.
It's about time! Welcome back. Tell me, how will Romney gain Latino votes over Obama? The "800,000" illegal aliens who will gain work visas could really work against the GOP. What can Romney honestly say and do which will work for him?
