Good Afternoon, and Happy Election Day!
Today, we in the Tea Party Movement - and, it is now undeniable to any but the most politically obtuse observers that this "tea-nami" election would not have been possible without our support of the Republican Party's candidates - will deliver an historic victory to the GOP, once again giving you control of the House and, quite possibly, the Senate, in the greatest swing of electoral sentiment since perhaps the turn of the century. You can thank us for the possibly 90+ seat gain in the House and as many as a dozen Senate seats that we will deliver into your hands, thanks to our passion, hard work and determination. You're welcome.
We could have taken the anger generated by not only the gross overreaching on behalf of the Democratic Socialists over the last 20 months, but also your unforgivable betrayal of our trust and our principles over the previous six years from 2001-2007 when you were last in power, to start a new, third party - similar to the one that retired the Whigs in 1860 and gave birth to the Republicans. But, we wisely determined that in order to stop the horrific onslaught of totalitarian fascism that was descending upon our nation, we had to align ourselves in a marriage of convenience with the GOP - at least until 2010.
Now, on the cusp of a huge victory for freedom and a humbling defeat to the forces of federal government tyranny that WE made possible, we have five words for those of you in the Republican Establishment, and listen carefully:
THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE.
And we will trust you even less than we trusted the Democrats to get this done, as your governing history hardly indicates that you're much better.
We do have hope, though. We can exclude (for now) from the ranks of the untrustworthy those Tea Party-backed candidates who knocked off establishment candidates in primaries, such as Sharron Angle in Nevada, Rand Paul in Kentucky, Joe Miller in Alaska, and Christine O'Donnell in Delaware. Many of these candidates will win their elections, some by large margins. If you in the establishment (read: Boehner, Rove, Gingrich, O'Connell, and Trent Lott) attempt to "co-opt" these statesmen and women and turn them into what YOU are, then all of you will be next on the target list in 2012.
We will be watching you like hawks. We will not let what happened after the so-called "Republican Revolution" in 1994 happen again, when after a promising start, the GOP became the creature it once despised. Our country - our children and grandchildren, and their future hopes for prosperity - literally cannot afford another failure.
Which brings us back to 2012.
As with any tsunami, the first wave surprises, but the second, larger wave kills.
If you establishment types think that you will be able to skate through the next two years blocking and obstructing and believe that that's all you will have to do to get re-elected, think again. We want to reverse course, not just slam on the brakes. Again, we cannot afford to do anything else, if we want our children to live in a United States that any of us recognize. And if you don't take our lesson to heart, a larger "tea-nami" wave will sweep both Democrats and "compromising" Republicans out to retirement in 2012.
So, here's what we want you to do:
We know that these seem radical and, in many ways, impossible to you in your so-called "political reality," but remember - this time two years ago, the "political reality" was that the pundits were writing your collective epitaphs.
A lot can change in two years; we've proven that. And if you don't do the right things - not the easy things - then you will be "changed" too. You can ride the "tea-nami" wave or get caught in its undertow. It's now up to you.
