It is hard to believe the comments that are coming from the so called Black leaders regarding The Tea Party Movement. We have been bombarded with negative comments about the Tea Party Movement from these ill informed people ever since the Tea Party Movement began. The last to join the frey is actor Morgan Freeman.
My hope is that those that make these comments would wake up and smell the roses, and also educate themselves with facts before speaking up on this subject. The NAACP, Rep. Andre Carson of Indiana, Rep. Maxine Waters, and now Actor Morgan Freeman have condemned a movement without knowing anything about the movement.
The Tea Party Movement has been accused from it's inception as being RACIST. There has been no basis or examples given as to why this allegation is true. The accusers speak, and it is assumed that it is so.
I submit that those that have made these statements are doing so in ignorance and out of ange because they feel that this movement threatens them. I also blame the media for allowing these people to speak out without proving their point. The media also always fails to interview those of us that are involved in the movement. We have and are a part of this movement, and can speak from experience.
I have been involved in the tea Party Movement from Day One. I organized The Tea Party in the County in which I live, and I am involved in local, Statewide, and National Tea Party Events. Why not interview me and print and show my perspective?
It is easy to smear someone or a group. It is also very tough to recover from such smears if the accused is not given the opportunity to respond to the allegations. I challenge the media to allow me to illustrate tha these statements that above groups and people have made are wrong, and do not reflect the Tea Party Movement.
Members of the media, give The Tea Party a fair and balanced opportunity to respond.

I DO care about one's ideas, beliefs and philosophy because not all ideas are good; not all beliefs are true; and not all philosophies noble. THAT'S what truly defines a decent human being.
I grow so weary of these hollyweird hypocrites and corrupt congress critters with their vile prejudice and divisive racial politics to froth up animosity among the citizens.

Comment by Yvonne Starks on September 25, 2011 at 5:08pm Oh, Kim...you are soooo good! I distinctly remember that interview....
Yes, indeed, Morgan....STOP TALKING ABOUT IT. Stop talking about racism.
I met Morgan Freeman in Dallas one evening....very cold and distant.....maybe because I didn't ask for his autograph? Do like him enough as an actor, however. Just SHUT UP AND ACT. :)
Comment by Kim Quade on September 25, 2011 at 4:42pm Whatever happened to this Morgan Freeman?
Morgan Freeman should be attending a tea party rally as part of his Bucket List.
