In my lifetime many men he aspired to the Presidency of this country. Most who attained it grew in stature while they were in the office.
Truman said "the buck stops here" and he meant it. Eisenhour warned us to limit the power of the military industrial complex. JFK challenged us to"ask not what our country can do for us; ask what you can do for your country". Ford lost his bid for election but fulfilled a caretaker role after Nixon resigned. Reagan brought down the Berlin Wall after telling Gorbachov "bring this wall down"! Bush II who was immediately faced with a vicious terrorist attack and its aftermath on 9/11/01.
Also, during my lifetime were men who gaindthe office and diminished it.
Johnson got lost in Vietnam and started "The Great Society" which hasn't been so great. Nixon said that he wasn't a crook and turned out to be one. Carter put on a blindfold when the hostages in Iran were blindfolded by the hostage takers in Tehran. Bush I who said "no new taxes" and then raised more. Clinton who is credited with the term "give a Lewinski. Obama whose goal is to destroy the moral, social and economic fabric, liberties and standing of the United States of America.
Mitt Romney looks Presidential. Who will you vote for? Who will your friends and family vote for?
