Breaking News: Baghdad Bob is Alive & Well in Washington DC. Unemployment Miraculously Falls Below 8%

President Obama and the Department of Labor are now striving to achieve the credibility ratings of the infamous “Baghdad Bob. You know, that guy who reported to the world that the Iraqi Military had wiped out the Americans at a time when the cameras showed him surrounded by them……….

At any rate, the most effective way to verify your gut feelings these days is to research how the news is being reported by the extreme liberal media. For example, the initial reporting on Fox News following the debate was timid, reserved, and cautious. In order to really sense the massacre, you had to venture over to the irate Chris Mathews and depleted Rachel Maddow.

Today, while listening to Fox & Friends, the story broke. Again, like Wednesday, the hosts seemed a little reserved in my humble opinion. I immediately visited “Morning Joe” to get the liberal perspective and expected to hear them boasting the great news with jubilation. That didn't happen. Rather, liberal host Joe Scarborough, expressed confusion and concern over the formula that he had thought he was beginning to understand after 42 months of reporting unemployment above 8%. Question: How could unemployment drop so far, so fast, in just 30 days when new jobs created were only around 114,000? Answer: It cannot.

So what is going on? Apparently, more than 800,000 Americans allegedly reported to the DOL that they had found paid employment. This means they are taking on a part-time or full-time job in which an employer is going to collect taxes and pay taxes. However, the real report measuring payroll only showed 114,000 people added to the labor force. My understanding is that the gap between these two reports has never been this far apart which indicates one of two things. This is either a glaring error and the real unemployment number for this period will be adjusted upward (after the election) or this was an ill-conceived intentional misrepresentation of the truth in an effort to affect an election that only Baghdad Bob would be proud to report! That is what I say……..What say you?

What concerns me is his contacts to COOK these figures so well.....if he can COOK these numbers, who is to say that the BALLOT numbers cannot also be COOKED as well done?

As Stalin said....it's not WHO votes....it's WHO COUNTS THE VOTES....

So, it's not who IS working....it is WHO SAYS WHO IS WORKING.....the Department of Labor Statistics has its top honchos being Obama supporters. What a coincidence, eh what?

It is virtually impossible for the 'Unemployment Rate' to go down with a 1.3 GDP growth. In order for the 'Unemployment Rate' to go down, there has to be a 3.0 or greater GDP. And don't tell me, Obama had 'NOTHING' to do with this figure of 7.8% Unemployment numbers.

Comment by Alex Poulter on October 5, 2012 at 3:54pm: The fix is in! Just learned that buried within the numbers was an additional 86,000 public sector job adjustment for the months of July & August. Although this still doesn't explain how we had the largest single month reduction in the unemployment % in 30 years, it confirms that the DOL and the Obama administration are pulling out every trick they can muster in an act of desperation! Great job Secretary Hilda Solis.....Perhaps that number will have to be adjusted again when Ms. Solis and Mr. Obama are out of work on November 7th.

Shouldn't the number be 7.9 not 7.8?
