Brownback Administration will not support Obamacare exchange

LET GOVERNOR SAM BROWNBACK KNOW YOU SUPPORT HIS DECISION!!  KANSAS DOES NOT WANT OBAMACARE!!!

Last Thursday, Kansas Governor Sam Brownback refused to have his state to implement a health care exchange as part of  the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.  His office released the following statement:

Kansans feel Obamacare is an overreach by Washington and have rejected the state’s participation in this federal program. My administration will not partner with the federal government to create a state-federal partnership insurance exchange because we will not benefit from it and implementing it could costs Kansas taxpayers millions of dollars.

States have until Nov. 16 to inform the Federal Government of their intent of creating an exchange or leaving the creations and maintaining the exchanges by the federal government.  Currently, 15 states and the District of Columbia have stated they will create exchanges.

According to KWCH Eyewitness News out of Kansas, Insurance Commissioner Sandy Praeger did prepare the application to start the process for Kansas, but Governor Brownback refused to sign it.  Apparently, Gov. Brownback delayed his decision until last Tuesday presidential election results.

Since the election, six states have announced their intent on refusing setting up state exchanges.  According to Governing Website, “Federal officials have said privately that they expect to be running up to 35 exchanges on Oct. 1, 2013, when they open.”

Governor Brownback is doing the will of the people of Kansas by blocking the development of ObamaCare exchanges in our still sovereign state of Kansas. We must stand together and support him in this courageous stand to block ObamaCare from advancing into our state.

this rush to socialism must stop at  the state level. The healthcare bill crammed down our throats has nothing to do with healthcare, it is a way to control the populace and to divulge our rights as a free people. I am behind Gov Brownback 100%.

Hurrah for Gov Brownback! If the states do not exercise their soverignty we are lost to the federal monster.  We have not fought, bled, and died for 250 years to surrender our freedom to people who might as well be from another planet.  If the governors who agree with Gov Brownback all refuse to cave in, there will be changes made that might be acceptable...MIGHT.

Anyone on Facebook needs to go to Governor Brownback's page and give our constituent approval.  Am on my way now....sure he's getting knocked down by the liberals.

The Governors punting the responsibility to the legislature to keep this overreach from tying down the economy of Kansas is right-on-target as we do not ascribe to the monoarchy mentality of the far-left.

No matter how kind and benelovent a dictator is in his/her service of the people it is a Republic that the founders have established and only the socialists among our population ascribe to the "kingship" mentality. As for me, I embrace the reponsibilities of a citizen and its concurrent liberty and reject the role of obedient subject.

Thank you for your support!
