Fundamentally Changing America

“We are five days away from fundamentally changing America...” were the words spoken by Barack Obama in 2008.  Those desperately seeking the hope and change he promised gave little thought to what those words truly meant.  

The Colonists finding it necessary to break their ties from Britain, listed their grievances in the Declaration of Independence.  This document is the ‘why’ of our beginning:

When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the laws of nature and of nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

To change something fundamentally means to change the foundations, to change the basis.  To claim you want to fundamentally change America is saying you want to change our Constitution.  This bothers me.  It bothers me a lot.  I believe our Constitution is one of the most brilliant documents ever written.  It has withstood the test of time and has guided our country for 236 years.  The Constitution is the cage that restrains our government.  Making fundamental changes to America is allowing the government out of the cage.  Government has become a roaring lion, ready to devour everything in its path. Today uncontrolled government has begun to strip our liberties in the name of safety.  One liberty after another is being consumed; one day citizens will realize we are no longer the land of the free, becoming the home of the controlled.  

Obama has spent four years chipping away at our liberties.  He has ignored the Constitution and has chosen the laws he wants to enforce.  He has put unelected Czars in place to make decisions for us all.  He is refusing to close our borders and wants to give the United Nations power over our sovereignty.  Barack Obama’s vision for America is not the vision of our Founding Fathers.  

America cannot stand another four years of Obama’s fundamental changes.  We are teetering on the edge of a cliff with uncontrolled debt and governmental control that grows larger every hour. Fight for our freedom with your VOTE!
