KANSAS 2012 - PRIMARY RACES : Let the Games Begin!

**Updated: 6/13/2012**

The CHIPS rating is the result of a combination of factors.   If you see a conservative on the report who you believe should be reflected as a 5-CHIPS Chipper, please contact us to learn more.   At a high level, take a look at the CHIPS Platform located in the "About" section.   If a candidate is truly conservative, they should find themselves agreeing with most all of the principles and values.   Once a candidate attests to the principles, we engage in a secondary verification process which involves interaction with multiple organizations focusing in specific areas (2nd Amendment, Immigration Reform, Tax Policy, Life, etc.).

Travis,

We have received good feedback on you from several organizational representatives.   Waiting to confirm a good review from the Fair Tax.   Please execute the survey so that we can be consistent in our process of delving out the CHIPS.  Although you are running unopposed, you will want to be displayed as being a 5-CHIPS Chipper before we begin sending thousands of mailers to registered Republicans across the state.   Cheers!

I think I said this before on this site; Stephanie told me in 2010 her idol in the House was Pat Colloton, so you can guess her beliefs from that comparison. Of course, Colloton was/is Vratil's choice to replace himself in the Senate. Like minds...

Stephanie Sawyer Clayton is a female version of John Vratil and Tim Owens (although Owens is rather effeminate... nothing personal meant to the ladies on Political Chips).  I'm not sure Clayton would fit in the Democratic Party.  I respect a lot of Democrats (I disagree with them, but I respect people with legitimate, strong beliefs), but I've never heard Clayton talk about an actual belief.  She just constantly attacks conservatives.

In District 110 my primary opponent actually filed for the 111th and was moved to the 110 by the courts. He does not want to run against me and has agreed to support and endorse me. His name is Lawrence J Reichert and we both attended the Big First Tea Party event in Hays last night and Larry announced that he would not be running and that he would be supporting me and Sue Boldra to make sure we send conservatives to Topeka from the 110th and 111th districts! I would be happy to explain my views to Alex or anyone else for that matter. www.travisforkansas.com Thanks!

I'm in that district, Missey - #19 with Bruce Belanger running. I'm told Jeff Melcher recruited him to run and that he's at least a fiscal conservative - don't know yet about social views. He's a businessman and friend of Jeff's. I looked up the name and it seems he's president of a company called Clear ORM - online reputation management. I'm anxious to meet him and work for him - no idea how to contact yet. You're right about Stephanie - do not want her elected.

A young man named Chris Waldschmidt came into the JCRP office this morning - running (unopposed in primary) for the first time in district 24. Don't know his views but a very friendly and nice man.

Great to see Mark (my Dad) get 5 Chips! He's a true conservative and he'll need a lot of support to defeat Fitzgerald in the primary and Kultala in the general.

I am running and will be meeting Democrat Bob Grant in the general election for the new look 2nd district statehouse seat as a result from the redistricting. I wish to be vetted asap so that i may apply for the Political Chips rating. Earl Long of FairTax KC has vetted my tax reform stand and I eagerly await to weigh in on the immigration, marriage and the life issue. I am a self-described Constitutional Conservative who believes in Limited and Local government. We are a country that supports freedom OF religion NOT freedom FROM religion. Will someone contact me please? 620-238-1378 cell

Bruce Belanger is running against Stephanie in Kansas House District 19.

Comment by Missey Smith on June 12, 2012 at 10:38am

It is Stephanie Sawyer Clayton. Her dad is Neal Sawyer that is running against John Rubin. That is part of the reason she hates races that are partisan. I believe if I remember correctly, he was a registered U until now to run against John.

Thank you for your support!
