Senator Ted Cruz, (R- Texas) the freshman from Texas, schools Senator Diane Feinstein (D-California) on the constitution. Senator Cruz states, “It seems to me that all of us should begin, as our foundational document, with the Constitution. The Second Amendment in the Bill of Rights provides that the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” Feinstein responds as if she has been insulted and tries to avoid the question.
Senator Dick Durbin (D-Illinois) makes what is perhaps the most alarming statement in this video. In discussing the Bill of Rights, Amendments I, II and IV in particular, Durbin says, “None of these rights are absolute, none of them.”
These liberals believe they know better than our founders what is best for us. I believe that the United States Constitution is the most brilliant legal document ever written. It has created the greatest country on the face of the earth and deserves to be protected.

So is that an absolute statement?
Comment by Kathy Brown, Esq. on March 23, 2013 at 12:20pm Well said Greg! Everything proceeds from our moral state. If we're depraved, well, see: Obama, Ayers, Wright, etc. If not: Allen West, Sarah Palin, etc.
And the last two don't even get support from 'Republicans'!
God given rights are frequently misinterpreted as man-made privileges. What you believe will dictate how you respond to the attacks upon the constitution.
Comment by John Stolte on March 18, 2013 at 5:57pm In typical Leftist fashion Diane fails to answer the question that Cruz posed. Leahy is an idiot. Feinstein and Pelosi both share the view that the Congress isn't required to consult the Constitution before writing law. Durbin shares equal idiocy status with Leahy.
Comment by Kathy Brown, Esq. on March 15, 2013 at 10:42pm Well of COURSE Sen. Turban (as Michael Savage calls him) thinks 'none of our rights are absolute'. I mean, what else would he think?
This clown doesn't believe in absolute truth; absolute God; absolute ANYTHING. Except, perhaps, in absolute political correctness and, oh yes, let's not forget, the absolute WONDERFULNESS OF ISLAM.
As for Feinstein: She's some piece of work. I mean she actually found out how important the 2d was, and stated so publicly. Notwithstanding that, she's now determined to gainsay herself.
Comment by Alex Poulter on March 15, 2013 at 6:59pm History will show that the greatest benefit to the Tea Party movement is that it awoke the nation and re-educated millions of Americans on the founding of the country. Time will tell whether or not this results in election defeats for Democrats / Liberals / Moderates.
