There are ways to fix the housing problem without paying off the banks.  The banks could have adjusted the mortgages for people that were paying them by lowering the interest rates on them. tacking late payments on the end, lengthening the time of the mortgage and giving a 3 month, no payment break.  Instead they foreclose,  pay out thousands of dollars to manage the properties and then sell them to investors or 10 to 30 cents on the dollar.  Of course congressmen get in on those

investments too.  Make a million dllars while suposedly serving our Country as a legislator and make

a billion like Gore selling false information to the public on Global warming. What a bunch of crooks.

I would stand tall till the end : ) Plus it looks like a lot of Americans are going to lose their homes because ever since congress and then President Clinton laid American jobs on the sacrificial alter of China and the third world countries and those of us that was use to bringing in nice incomes wont have that privilege any more, because the good jobs that are left will have people fighting for positions like a bunch of piranhas.. But we both know the more qualified wont get those jobs either it will be based on who you know and not what you know
