Yes, I believe this election is incredibly important. Yes, I plan to vote on Saturday for a candidate I think will bring back God and the Constitution to the White House. Yes, I pray for a new president in November.
And I believe in this:
We are liberty. We will be this long after the 2012 election has ended. Indeed, we will be this long after we have each left this earth, because so long as the IDEA of liberty exists -- and it always must, because it is truth -- then there will be human beings who embody its spirit.
The 2012 election is just one election. The American presidency, for that matter, is just one office. This fight, this cause, is far broader and greater than that.
All of us can and should continue to promote the ideas of liberty, well after the 2012 campaign has passed, whatever its ultimate result. The rallies won't always have to be "______ rallies." The message board posts won't always have to be "_________ posts." The YouTube clips won't always have to be "________ clips." The ideas transcend the name of any candidate. The ideas transcend us.
Today's candidates will not be here forever, but new human vessels for liberty will emerge.
