I think this site is a great idea. Thirty questions to tweak the conscience of those patriots who may be squishy about what it is they believe. Each of these need to be fully understood and digested by not only our elected officials, and candidates for public office, but also by the electorate, who are often confused about these issues.
Leah, On March 6 you posted your intent to campaign for my opponent. It is your right to support whomever you wish in the election. In fact, I applaud you for being active , too few people get involved. The tone of your question , where you inaccurately portray my vote , set the tone for my answer. Politics has become mean spirited and attacking. One big “gotcha “ game looking for ways to twist the truth to fit the need to polarize every issue. I apologize if I let past experience ,with some of your associates ,color my judgment as to what your intentions were. I have no interest in using this forum as a campaign tool for or against my current election. I joined the site because some of the topics were of interest to me. I believe that people become better leaders if they take the time to examine many differing ideas in order to find the best possible solutions and to help see the issues from all different points of view. I am choosing not to engage in this type of political games or online arguments. If, however, you would be interested in spending some afternoon at Powder Creek shooting clay and discussing public policy , I would be happy to join you.
I will assume that since you are not in my ward ,have never conted me anytime in the past with questions, and have endorsed my opponent that you know that the "sound byte" you refer to deals with a charter ordince cleanup at the Aug 2008 meeting. The State had already declared that firearms were not able to be confiscated during declared emergencies and the motion I made would not have delt with firearms but with other items that could be used as weapons. I believe the example I used during the discussion was a brick. You also fail to mention that i grew up in a household of hunters and am myself a gun owner. That during that meeting in question i praised the NRA efforts to protect gun owners rights . That i specifically talked about those things as reasons why i did not believe the Charter ordinance , identical to the language of the Past charter, was applicable to firearms. Of course we wouldnt want facts to get in the way of propaganda. This sadly represents the same type of blanket disregard for truth that those you endorsed have made common practice. For example Jenkins supporting information asking for votes as the only Pro Life candidate for Mayor. Disregarding the reality that Jeff Meyers is not only Pro Life and a member of Knights of Columbus but was in fact the committee chair in a campaign for Life group.( I do not know the exact committee name) Perhaps if people involved in elections started using accurate information and stopped trying to create discord by pushing hot buttons issues regardless of how inaccurate, or outright lies, they are based on our Country could get back on track. This kind of politics is a sad statement about the kind of people who choose to use these tactics.

Hello Leah. I sent a note to Yvonne Starks and asked about getting started. It is evident that Political Chips has the potential of impacting the political climate in the Republican party. I am excited about that and really desire to be a part of that kind of voice. I think it is important to keep the Republican party a conservative party. I am not completely sure how to get the ball rolling on your web site to make a proper contribution. I wasn't sure if I was suppose to join someone elses group or start on of my own. I am sure that you have a lot going but I would like to ding on you for any suggestions in getting started.
Austin is growing. As you know very liberal. A lot of Hollywood movies are filmed in this area. With the inflated prices and collapsing economy in California a large number of people are moving from there to here. It just makes our conservative fight a bit more challenging. I will say that it is a good year to be a Republican. Again, thanks for your kind hospitality. I look forward to the exchange of ideas.
The same to you! I'm keeping tabs on you guys on facebook. Just trying to get some outreach and inspiration for the coming battle. There's not a lot on the horizon, so we ALL just have to stick together. Take care... congrats on daughter's CCH test passage...Keep up the good fight and thanks....Dody
FELLOW COUNTRYMEN!!!....I THINK YOU ALL NEED TO READ THE ARTICLE I HAVE POSTED BELLOW, IF YOU HAVENT YET....GOD HELP US ALL..... I FEEL AS IF, I AM BACK IN IRAN! AGAIN.
Fellow countrymen......You really need to check out the link provided bellow. It clearly addresses the truth behind the '' Occupy Wall Street '' agenda and where it came from. Its a really good read, so be sure and forward it on to any one and every one you know.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!....AMEN
'' Reflection on the agenda of the Democratic Party ''
'' We’re in this for the long haul. There are no “solutions” that can be presented quickly to make us go away. And so there will be moments where our presence is no longer an uncomfortable and unknown variable, but rather is normalized and integrated. It’s in those moments that we have to push the envelop [sic], pry open the space of possibility even farther. We go as far as we can to destabilize [sic], but maintain momentum. And when that’s the new “normal” then we go farther. That’s how change happens, how we shift the terrain and the terms of the game.''
